About this project

One of 3D printing's ultimate dreams is 'no cutting' — oversized models forced into split prints and glued assembly, slow and compromising structural integrity. Either buy an industrial machine or live with it. The ELEGOO OrangeStorm Giga pushes consumer FDM volume to a new record: an 800×800×1000mm build chamber for printing oversized models whole. Four independent 410mm PEI magnetic bed zones auto-detect where the model sits and heat only there, reaching 90°C across the full area in 17 minutes; a quad-core RK3328 board drives up to 300mm/s (150 recommended), top-tier for its size class. The 300°C nozzle uses chrome-zirconium copper with a full titanium alloy heat pipe for smoother extrusion. Multi-color duplicate printing and 5kg spool support round it out. Launched in November 2023, it drew 2,005 backers and $3,386,996, about 3,387% funded.
