Smartwatches are capable but uncomfortable to sleep in, and demand frequent charging. A smart ring is the more invisible answer — though few are genuinely good. Kuura Ring is San Francisco's all-in-one smart ring. The shell is titanium — chosen over aluminium and steel alloys for its light, durable nature — with a skin-friendly high-quality epoxy resin interior. It tracks fitness, wellness and daily routines; preproduction samples passed accuracy and reliability tests run both in-house and by an independent auditing partner, and it carries full certification for the mass market. Longevity and sustainability are baked in: titanium is recyclable, and the team is exploring a take-back program with discounts. Launched in April 2024, it drew 2,073 backers and $250,151, about 2,502% funded.
