About this project

Consumer 3D scanners are fine for figurines and reverse engineering, but industrial inspection and quality control won't tolerate 0.1 mm-class errors — that's metrology-grade territory, and those machines are usually eye-wateringly expensive. Revopoint MetroX pushes metrology-grade capability down to maker prices. Its hybrid blue multi-line laser plus full-field structured-light architecture offers four scanning modes with up to 0.03 mm accuracy and 0.01 mm repeatability. Three tracking modes (feature, marker, global marker) cover different objects, a lithography-made calibration board with a guided wizard keeps data trustworthy, and a dual-axis turntable enables one-click automated capture. This is Revopoint's seventh Kickstarter. Launched in October 2024, it drew 2,798 backers and $2,304,941, about 3,842% funded.

Highlights

  • Metrology-grade data: 0.03 mm accuracy and 0.01 mm repeatability for professional workflows
  • Hybrid dual light sources: blue multi-line laser for detail, full-field structured light for large surfaces
  • Automated digital twins: dual-axis turntable plus Revo Scan captures every angle with one click
  • Three tracking modes for feature-rich, featureless and high-volumetric-accuracy scenarios
