Amazon

One of the world's largest builders and operators of industrial robots, with more than one million units manufactured in the U.S. to date (Proteus mobile robots, Sparrow, Vulcan). On the AWS side it launched an open-source Physical AI Toolchain wiring data collection, training, simulation, validation and deployment into one workflow integrated with NVIDIA's physical-AI stack.

10.08LaunchAWS launches an open-source Physical AI Toolchain spanning data, training, simulation, validation and deployment

The toolchain brings AWS services and NVIDIA's physical-AI software stack into a single development workflow, aimed at one of the hardest problems for robotics teams: connecting the many pieces needed to turn a trained model into a system that reliably operates in the real world. AWS describes it as an "easy button" so developers can focus on the problem itself.

The Greenwood, Indiana facility will produce products that power Amazon's North American fulfillment and robotics network, create 300 skilled manufacturing and engineering jobs, and is expected to launch by 2028. Amazon already runs one of the largest industrial-robot manufacturing operations in the world in Massachusetts and has built more than one million robots in the U.S. to date.
