D-Robotics
Spun out of Horizon Robotics (9660.HK) in January 2024 and headquartered in Shenzhen, with Wang Cong as CEO and Yu Kai as executive director, D-Robotics positions itself as the 'Wintel of the robotics era': it builds chips and a software-hardware base rather than robot bodies. Its core product is the Sunrise series of BPU-architecture robot compute SoCs — Sunrise X3 and X5 are in mass production, and three new chips on China's most advanced domestic process, including Sunrise X7, are due by end-2026. In June 2025 it launched the RDK S100, billed as the industry's first single-SoC 'compute-and-control' robot development kit (Sunrise 5 / Nash BPU, 12 GB memory, 80 TOPS; the S100P reaches 128 TOPS), priced at RMB 2,799 with a RMB 2,499 launch offer — roughly half an equivalent NVIDIA setup. At DDC2025 in November 2025 it previewed the 560 TOPS (INT8) Sunrise S600, which entered mass-production validation in 2026 with 20+ leading customers, alongside a July 2026 strategic partnership with GigaDevice's GD32 MCUs. On the software side, TogetheROS.Bot and a cloud one-stop development platform span data collection, model training, simulation and inference deployment. Cumulative Sunrise shipments have passed 8M units and embodied-AI customer coverage exceeds 50% (humanoids, industrial wheeled platforms, 3C flexible assembly, embodied foundation models and full-modal perception), with most programs already shipping at production scale and H1 2026 revenue up several-fold year on year. Funding: a US$100M Series A in May 2025; a US$120M B1 in March 2026; a US$150M B2 in April 2026 (US$270M across the B rounds, over RMB 2.5B cumulative); and a US$400M Series C on 17 September 2026 led by Mirae Asset with Meituan Strategic Investment, joined by government platforms Hefei Guotou, Nanshan Zhanxintou and Jingquan Capital plus Cathay Capital, Huamei International, GF Xinde, Beyond Moore and Synstellation's Xinchuang II fund, with existing shareholders including Hillhouse Ventures, 5Y Capital, Linear Capital, Huangpu River Capital, Vertex Growth, Prosperity7, Harmony Capital, Yunfeng and Meituan Longzhu following on — US$670M across three 2026 rounds, earmarked for the full-compute-range Sunrise lineup and the end-to-end software platform.
