China's first state-owned automaker, FAW debuted its self-developed 'robot family' at the April 2026 Beijing Auto Show: a full-size humanoid for heavy-duty high-precision work, a commercial-service humanoid for 4S-store reception, a wheeled-arm robot for production logistics and smart assembly, and a quadruped for hazardous-environment inspection. It built a five-pillar robotics system spanning brain, body, integration, data and components, going from R&D to showcase in just 150 days. In June 2025 it set up FAW Qixin Power (Changchun) with RMB 500M and FAW Qiyi (Shenzhen) with RMB 100M registered capital for intelligent robotics and AI.
