Pudu Robotics

Founded by Zhang Tao, an HKUST mechanical engineering graduate and founder of Leiphone, Pudu ranks first globally in commercial service robot shipments with 100,000+ units deployed across dining, hospitality, healthcare and seven more industries. In 2024 it entered the humanoid race with the PUDU D7 humanoid-like robot, the D9 full-size biped (170cm, 65kg, 42 DOF, 352N·m peak joint torque, 2m/s) and the 11-DOF DH11 dexterous hand, becoming the first vendor to field dedicated, humanoid-like and full humanoid forms. In April 2025 it raised nearly US$150M at a valuation above US$1.5B.
