XPENG IRON Walks Off Its Own Dedicated Production Line

XPENG has started operating dedicated production lines for its IRON humanoid robot, saying more than 80% of the core manufacturing processes are automated by borrowing the production systems and quality control it already uses for cars. After assembly, the first production-line-built IRON autonomously walked off the line. The company targets mass production by the end of 2026, with deliveries in China and overseas markets in 2027. Building one impressive prototype is one problem; building thousands consistent enough to deploy is another, and the humanoid race is becoming a manufacturing problem.
