Google CC: a group-level AI agent for families, with its own verified Google account
CC is an experimental Google Labs product pitched as a group-level AI assistant for a family of up to six members. As described in the thread, it holds its own verified Google account and dedicated mailbox, so it joins Gmail, Chat, Calendar and Drive like a new member added to the household collaboration rather than a shared login. Each member separately authorizes which emails, senders, photos, folders or calendars CC may see, and everything else stays out of its shared context. In the demo cited in the post, CC reads a swim class notice, identifies the name of the child, the class time, the location, the gear to bring and the waiver due on the first day, then creates a family calendar entry. The stated pain point is that the slow part is not understanding a message but the forwarding, clarifying, confirming and follow-up work around it.
