Pophie: A True AI Lifeform

AI assistants live behind glass or inside silent speakers: they answer only when asked, never see your day, and cannot share your silence. Pophie aims to be a true AI lifeform: large multimodal models let her read context and emotion, knowing when to speak up and when to stay quiet. Eight touch sensors feel every pat and hug; sudden noise startles her and shaking makes her dizzy. With no wake word she stays aware of the room's rhythm and reaches out proactively when it matters. She keeps a distinct personality and memory, recognizes who is speaking, and answers you specifically. Launched in May 2026, the project drew 1,168 backers and raised about S$557,000 (~$434,000) against a S$15,000 goal — about 3,711% funded.
