The PIN – Luxury Wooden Earbuds with Built-in AI Translation

Wireless earbuds are almost uniformly plastic-faced, so San Francisco team The Pin Universe set out to craft something different from natural materials. The PIN's shell is handmade from real wood and recycled materials — since no two wood grains match, every pair is one-of-a-kind. The feature set is bold too: built-in AI real-time translation across 150+ languages, dual-mic ENC for clear calls, AAC codec balancing quality and battery, plus a companion app with AI chat, find-my-buds, snap-to-translate and sleep soundscapes. Launched in August 2025, the campaign drew 1,088 backers and raised $166,294 — 2079% of its $8,000 goal.
