About this project

Optical drives vanished from computers years ago, yet drawers full of old discs still hold weddings, graduations and archived contracts — while camera and drone shooters juggle separate card readers and hubs. DISCORE merges an optical drive with a 9-in-1 hub: CD/DVD reading and burning, four USB-A ports, one USB-C and dual SD/TF slots in a slim aluminum shell, running 10Gbps over USB 3.2 Gen2. Built-in USB-C and USB-A leads plus driver-free plug and play make it one device for importing footage, reviving old discs and burning physical backups. Launched in June 2026, the project drew 1,244 backers and raised $75,660 against a $500 goal — about 15,132% funded.
