Hidizs Next Gen Ultra-large Planar HiFi IEMs - 9 Sound Types

About this project

Planar magnetic drivers are prized for low distortion and wide staging, but fitting an ultra-large planar driver into an IEM has always been an engineering challenge. The Hidizs MP145 packs a 14.5mm symmetric planar diaphragm codenamed FAST, after the world's largest radio telescope, into its shell, driven by a fully symmetric 7+7 N52H magnet array for lower harmonic distortion and higher magnetic efficiency, with pneumatic tuning filters to switch sound signatures. The cable is 99.9999% single-crystal copper silver-plated wire in 3.5mm or 4.4mm; the golden titanium edition is limited to 199 units worldwide with stabiler, clearer acoustics than the aluminum version. Launched in September 2023, it drew 1,061 backers who pledged about HK$1.22M (~$156K), 3,111% of its HK$39,190 goal.

Highlights

  • 14.5mm FAST planar driver: large diaphragm for inherent detail and dynamics
  • Fully symmetric 7+7 N52H magnetic circuit with low distortion
  • Golden titanium edition limited to 199 units, stabler and clearer than aluminum
  • OCC silver-plated cable plus pneumatic tuning filters for deep customization
