AKASO Sight: The Most Advanced AI Night Vision Yet

About this project

AKASO, an action-camera brand with a strong overseas following, extends into night vision with the Sight series. Traditional night-vision gear is easy to fault: green monochrome images, fixed zoom, and a tunnel-like view. The Sight-300 answers with a large 1/1.79-inch CMOS sensor and a second-generation AI-ISP powered by a quad-core Cortex-A7 processor capable of up to 4 trillion operations per second. The AI reconstructs real textures, restores natural colors and suppresses noise in real time, delivering 99% color accuracy in near-total darkness without lag or smearing on moving targets. It records 4K video and stills, offers a wide 60-degree field of view that feels closer to natural eyesight, and weighs just 260 g, helmet-ready and easy to use one-handed. Launched in August 2025, it drew 2,903 backers and $606,041 — 6,060% funded.

Highlights

  • Large sensor + AI-ISP: low-noise, 99% accurate color in near-total darkness

  • 60-degree FOV: natural eyesight-like awareness instead of tunnel vision
  • 260 g: lighter than digital binoculars, helmet-ready and one-hand friendly
