PixelMug P1: AI-Enhanced Mug with Pixel Display

Smart mugs have mostly done one thing — keep drinks warm or remind you to sip. PixelMug P1 wants the mug to be a pixel-art canvas on your desk. At its core is a pixel screen hidden beneath a razor-thin ceramic layer (patent pending): it looks like an ordinary porcelain mug until it lights up like a cyberpunk neon sign. The BUBBLE app lets you design pixel art and loop GIFs, while the AI Wizard converts pet photos and selfies into retro 8-bit art with one tap. Beyond art, it shows the weather, coffee temperature, meeting reminders and hydration nudges, even retro mini games — and multiple mugs can share messages and play party games together. Wi-Fi connectivity brings OTA updates, and IPX7 waterproofing means you can wash it by hand. Launched in March 2025, it drew 2,838 backers and about HK$2.34 million (roughly $301K), around 2,338% funded.
