With public-cloud subscriptions creeping up and privacy incidents piling up, it bundles reliable localized storage, robust transfer and account encryption into one aluminum chassis. The spec sheet is generous: up to 184TB of capacity, Intel Core-class processors, and — on select models — Thunderbolt 4, an SD reader and a PCIe 4.0 ×4 slot for disk arrays and NICs. HDMI output turns it into a home movie library: pick a title in the app and cast it to any screen.
