Genmitsu Cubiko, An Affordable Desktop CNC for Everyone

CNC has always put beginners behind three barriers: cost, complexity and assembly pain. Many enthusiasts lose steam to the instruction manual before the machine is even unboxed. Cubiko, from Genmitsu — the maker brand under SainSmart — aims to remove all three at once. It's a desktop all-in-one CNC: carving, PCB milling, laser engraving (optional module), drawing and polishing in one machine. ±0.1 mm accuracy pairs with Height Map auto-leveling — multi-point probing with automatic height compensation — so PCB milling stays clean even on uneven surfaces, while the 775-motor spindle reaches 10,000 RPM. Control comes three ways: computer, the Genmitsu app, or the built-in panel, with full compatibility across GRBL software. It works right out of the box with no complex assembly; a one-piece high-strength steel interior damps vibration for lasting precision, and the machine auto-stops when the door opens. MSRP is $500, with Kickstarter tiers from roughly half price. Launched in February 2025, the campaign drew 3,328 backers and raised about $1.29M — roughly 4,311% funded.
