MagAttach: Seamless Coffee Scale with Versatile Features

Espresso and pour-over enthusiasts often end up juggling several scales — one for beans, one for dosing, one for extraction — cluttering the bar and the budget. LaybirdCoffee's MagAttach unifies every scenario with a magnetic modular system: the scale snaps onto a dosing cup for beans and grounds, swaps to a golden-ratio extension platform for pour-over, and even weighs a loaded portafilter. In espresso mode a gravity sensor auto-starts and pauses timing as liquid flows, with a real-time water-flow readout; pour-over mode adds auto-tare, live brew-ratio monitoring and one-minute data retention. Launched in April 2025, it drew 1,059 backers and raised $88,617 — 4,431% of its $2,000 goal.
