Gvidea eGPU HUB: Unleash Your Computer's Potential

About this project

Slim laptops always seem to run out of graphics muscle: 4K edits stutter, 3D renders crawl, and big games can't run at high settings. A new workstation is expensive, and ordinary docks don't fix the GPU gap. Gvidea merges an external GPU dock with a high-speed hub in one device, solving performance and connectivity together. The Gvidea eGPU HUB connects over Thunderbolt 4 (40Gbps) or OCuLink (63Gbps) and accepts mainstream graphics cards, giving laptops and mini PCs desktop-class graphics for smoother renders, higher frame rates and fluid editing. Onboard you get 10GbE LAN, three 10Gbps USB-A ports, two 40Gbps USB-C ports and SD/microSD readers — one cable for power, display and every peripheral. When the GPU ages, swap the card module instead of the whole machine, saving money over time. Launched in November 2024, it drew 1,483 backers and about HK$3,062,577 (roughly $395K), around 7,955% funded.

Highlights

  • eGPU and hub in one: GPU, 10GbE, fast USB and card readers behind a single cable
  • Choose Thunderbolt 4 or 63Gbps OCuLink to feed the GPU at full speed
  • Upgrade the GPU alone instead of buying a whole new machine
  • Compatible with mainstream graphics cards, build to your budget
