Founded by Yu Chao, former head of Dreame's humanoid business with a multi-disciplinary Tsinghua background in mathematics, energy and aerospace, drawing core talent from Tsinghua, SJTU and CUHK. Lumos positions itself as a product-grade embodied-intelligence company with the LUS/MOS humanoids, the full-size LUS2, joint modules, tactile sensors and the FastUMI/LumosUMI data-collection tools. Within two years it financed from angel through A2, nearing RMB 1B in total, with the 2026 A1/A2 rounds led by Mitsubishi Electric Intelligent Manufacturing (China); its Project EDGE will place 100 LUMOS NIX units with universities worldwide.
