Matrix

Founded by Zhang Haixing, former founding leader of Tesla China Design Center who led Tesla Optimus humanoid and Cybercab development, with team members from Tesla, NVIDIA, and OpenAI. Positioned as China's answer to Figure AI, its core products MATRIX-1/MATRIX-3 are full-size bipedal general-purpose humanoids standing 1.8m with 77 DOF, featuring the self-developed MatrixBrain "brain-body coordination" system and the world's first flexible composite dragon-scale covering. It completed angel and angel+ rounds in September and December 2025, with intended orders nearing 1,500 units.
