G’AIM’E: Plug & Play TIME CRISIS Gun for Modern TVs (GAIME)

When CRT TVs disappeared, lightgun gaming went with them — classic guns relied on the tube's scan timing, and modern-TV workarounds have been fiddly compromises at best. Tokyo's Tassei Denki fixes this at the root: G'AIM'E puts a high-resolution camera and AI inside the gun, replacing infrared entirely. It auto-detects and adapts to screens from 15 inches to over 150, calibrates once per session, and lets players move and shoot at angles freely. The killer content is officially licensed from Bandai Namco: TIME CRISIS, POINT BLANK and both STEEL GUNNER titles — the latter two reaching home TVs for the first time ever — with an arcade pedal and toggleable recoil completing the arcade feel in premium bundles. Backers answered loudly: ¥175,553,524 (~$1.19M) raised at 2,507% funded from 5,915 supporters — the lightgun is back in the living room.
