GC Ultimate 2 Gamepad - Improved & Funtastic!

Smash players swear by the GameCube controller, but aging potentiometer sticks inevitably drift, third-party clones never nail the feel, and going wireless usually means latency. GC Ultimate 2 turns the beloved DIY kit into a finished gamepad: hall-effect TMR sticks and hall-effect triggers kill drift at the source, the new wireless module runs 12+ hours, and wired mode polls at 1000Hz for Steam Input, XInput and Slippi. Firmware and the config app are fully open source with WebUSB tuning on four platforms, the USB-C port is rated for 20k insertions, and octagon/circle gateplates plus retro transparent shells complete the package. Launched in February 2026, the project drew 1,257 backers and raised $180,228 against a $150,000 goal — about 120% funded.
