PocketCloud: Portable NAS That Backs Up Your World On the Go

For photographers and outdoor crews, backup has always been a headache: footage keeps growing, laptops are heavy and slow, and traditional NAS boxes sit at home gathering dust. PocketCloud shrinks the NAS into a pocketable backup station. It holds up to 16TB of M.2 NVMe storage, backs up cards and USB drives with one click, and when docked back at the studio it syncs a second copy over pogo pins — the body and the Dock each carry an independent SSD, so losing one in the field costs you nothing. A built-in battery and aluminum turbo-fan cooling handle outdoor work, while at home it doubles as a media server with 8K, 4K and HDR playback, smart transcoding, and local-account LAN login that can bypass cloud servers entirely. The campaign launched in March 2025, drew 1,117 backers, and raised HK$3,029,737 (about $388K), 10099% of its HK$30,000 goal.
