About this project

Amateur teams that want game footage usually have to assign someone to hold a phone and chase the ball — an arm-aching job that still misses the key plays. XbotGo Chameleon is an AI sports-tracking mount that lets the phone film itself. It tracks the whole team through every attack and defensive transition, or locks onto a specific player all game to generate personal highlight reels, and it overlays a live scoreboard for instant streaming and post-game review. An onboard AI co-processor handles more than 60% of the deep learning workload alongside the XbotVision 2.0 algorithm, keeping phones cool and tracking stable, and every feature is a one-time purchase with no monthly fee. The campaign launched in March 2024, drew 1,115 backers, raised $329,612 (6592% of its $5,000 goal), and won the 2024 Red Dot Design Award.

Highlights

  • AI auto-filming: follows the flow of play automatically, no dedicated camera operator needed
  • Player tracking: locks onto a specific athlete all game and builds personal highlight reels
  • Live scoreboard: score and clock overlay straight into footage for instant replay and streaming
  • No subscription: pay once, and the AI co-processor keeps phones cool while tracking stays smooth
