Morphy Richards: First Ductless Portable Air Conditioner

Portable air conditioners share an unavoidable flaw: the fat, hot exhaust duct. Windows must crack open, hoses need fixing, and half the cooling effort goes to venting heat — 'portable' in name only. Morphy Richards simply deleted the duct. Its ductless portable AC runs a genuine refrigeration cycle on an R290 eco-friendly refrigerant compressor, paired with proprietary Water Cooling Max technology so expelled air stays close to room temperature instead of dumping heat back into the space. Dual-swing airflow reaches wider and farther, and one body covers AC, dehumidifier and fan duties. Zero installation, plug and play — suited to garages, workshops, patios and semi-open spaces. For renters and outdoor workers, it's cooling you can carry wherever you need it. Launched in September 2024, it drew 2,303 backers and about HK$7.28 million (roughly $937K), around 4,854% funded.
