Fraimic: A Smart E Ink Canvas That Turns Your Voice Into Art

About this project

Refreshing the art on your wall is slow and expensive: order new prints, wait for delivery, reframe. Digital frames are convenient in theory, but most drag a power cable, demand apps and subscriptions, and their glowing screens look more like gadgets than art. Fraimic solves all of it at once. It's a full-color E Ink smart canvas: tap the mat around the display, describe what you want, and built-in AI renders it in seconds. You can also upload photos and artwork with no app, no internet and no subscription. The 10,000 mAh battery only draws power when the image changes—idle display costs nothing—so battery life is measured in years. Sized to drop straight into any frame, from IKEA to vintage finds. Launched in September 2025, it drew 1,825 backers and $1,120,290, around 11,203% funded.

Highlights

  • Voice to vision: speak to the frame and watch your idea appear in full-color E Ink within seconds
  • Multi-year battery: 10,000 mAh draws power only when changing images, zero idle consumption
  • No app, no subscription: upload photos directly, fully offline local operation
  • Fits any frame: standard canvas sizing drops into IKEA, vintage or handmade frames
