LUMIONIX KOMET: Take Your Photography Above and Beyond

Catching high-speed moments — bursting water drops, popping balloons — is nearly impossible with human reflexes, while timelapse and long exposure demand charts and calculators. LUMIONIX KOMET aims to be one do-everything camera trigger: it mounts in the hot shoe, connects over USB, and its sensor fires the shutter at the exact instant with finely adjustable thresholds. The hot shoe also hosts a wireless flash receiver add-on for high-speed lighting. Timelapse covers everything from basic intervals to holy-grail transitions, and a built-in ND calculator converts long-exposure settings with a tap. A deep neural network trained on thousands of professional images offers AI shooting suggestions, alongside geo-tagging, a file manager, an on-board touchscreen and iOS/Android apps. Launched in October 2023, it drew 1,108 backers who pledged $276,937 — 1846% of its $15K goal.
